In keeping with our Skin Laundry promise to deliver the best results available with little-to-no downtime, we have transitioned our Fractional Laser facial to our Thermo Fractional facial, to utilize the most advanced resurfacing technology now available.
Our new non-invasive Thermo Fractional facial delivers the most precise, controlled skin stimulation to address the widest array of skin concerns. The thermo-mechanical technology improves overall skin texture and tone more quickly, in fewer treatments, and with less downtime than invasive services.
The precise temperature control and more even energy distribution offered by thermo fractional technology delivers improved complexion in just one pass over the skin versus multiple passes required with a fractional laser. This stimulates consistent collagen production for even faster and long-lasting desired results, while generating less overall discomfort for most clients. Also, without a laser, goggles are not required by client or nurse during treatment.
Our new Thermo Fractional facial technology combines motion and heat to apply short bursts of evenly-distributed thermal energy to the skin surface via a matrix of tiny titanium points over the treated area very quickly and safely. This creates microchannels that allow the skin to absorb 90% more topical skincare product and stimulates cell regeneration for improved texture and tone with just one pass.
As the thermo treatment applies direct heat, you may experience more warmth and tightness of the skin, and the treated area may be pink (like after a fun day in the sun) for a few hours to a few days depending on your skin type and condition.
Additionally, you will have tiny dry dots where the titanium points created the microchannels for your serum to best absorb. Do not be concerned, as the skin will naturally exfoliate, revealing your smoother, more radiant complexion in just 3-7 days.
You may return to most usual activity immediately, other than staying out of extreme heat and direct sunlight and following some extra steps to moisturize and avoid potential irritants while your skin calms over the following days.

Reapply your medical-grade serum to the treated area every hour for 6 hours following your facial. After the 6 hours, maintain a gentle skincare routine until your skin calms.
Beginning 6 hours after treatment, apply a gentle emollient ointment, such as Aquaphor or our Skin Laundry Vitamin B5 Antioxidant Moisturizer, to help soothe skin dryness and sensitivity.

Follow to see your greatest skin improvements.
For the next day, avoid excessive heat exposure such as a very hot shower, sauna or steam room; excessive sweating; and using SPF, as each could clog your now freshly-opened pores.
For the next 2 days, steer clear of makeup, abrasive or exfoliating cleansing tools that could irritate your freshly-revealed skin.
For the next week, we advise shading your treated areas from direct sun exposure, or any UV-rays, as well as avoiding any unfamiliar new skincare products.
Always resist touching or picking at your skin! In particular, allow the micro dots
that appear from your Thermo Fractional facial to fall away naturally.
