LIGHT INDUCED SEIZURES
Please check with your neurologist if you are uncertain.
ACTIVE INFECTION OR INFLAMMATORY SKIN CONDITION
Including open, non-healed cold sores and current/active rash, eczema, or psoriasis flare up.
PHOTOSENSITIZING MEDICATIONS
· Antibiotics, i.e. Doxycycline, Tetracycline, Sulfonamides: must wait one week after the last dose.
· Topical therapy, i.e. 5-fluorouracil: must wait one week after completion of therapy.
· Photodynamic therapy: must wait two weeks after completion of therapy.
· Oral retinoids i.e. Isotretinoin, Accutane: must wait six months after the last dose.
· Chemotherapy: Please check with your oncologist as some chemo medications can be photosensitizing.
· Diuretics may be photosensitizing.
HISTORY OF SKIN CANCER ON THE TREATMENT AREA
Requires a medical clearance form. Please download HERE and consult your dermatologist.
VITILIGO
Based on your skin assessment and consultation, our Skin Laundry medical providers may clear you for treatment as long as vitiligo has never been present on the treatment area.
NEUROTOXINS OR FILLERS: Must wait five days after treatment.
LASER TREATMENTS, CHEMICAL PEELS, MICRODERMABRASION, MICRONEEDLING, DERMAPLANING: Must wait two weeks after treatment.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL: Must wait one week after treatment.
CURRENT SUNBURN ON THE TREATMENT AREA
SPRAY TAN/SELF-TANNING LOTION ON THE TREATMENT AREA: Must wait one week after application.
PAST SYSTEMIC THERAPY WITH GOLD
Injection-based, intravenous or oral.
COLLAGEN DISORDER ie. Lupus
INVASIVE OR ABLATIVE TREATMENTS i.e. Fraxel, CO2 laser: Must wait one month after treatment.
MEDICATIONS THAT DELAY WOUND HEALING i.e. Anticoagulants, immunosuppressants: Must wait three months after completion of therapy.
